Stoke Space Secures $1B Series E to Scale Reusable Fleet

Stoke Space has secured a $1B initial Series E tranche, bringing its total capital to $2.3B. According to Payload, the round was co-led by Point72 Ventures and Spark Capital, joined by a significant roster of returning and new investors. This injection follows a rapid capital accumulation phase where Stoke raised $2.1B since January 2025—all before its first orbital attempt.

The funds are earmarked for scaling manufacturing and infrastructure at Moses Lake, WA, and finalizing LC-14 at Cape Canaveral. However, the timeline for the Nova Pathfinder rocket has slipped from late 2026 to early 2027. Pathfinder is designed for full reusability, featuring a liquid-hydrogen-cooled metallic heat shield rated for 100 flights. It aims to lift 3,000 kg to LEO in its reusable configuration.

Stoke also unveiled its Nova Block 2 vehicle, a larger 15-metric-ton capacity launcher slated for 2029. Block 2 features 14 first-stage Zenith engines and an upper stage with 12 independent engines for increased redundancy. This vehicle positions Stoke to compete directly between Rocket Lab’s Neutron and Relativity’s Terran R. A successful flight is now the final gate for Stoke to compete for task orders under the U.S. Space Force’s $17B NSSL Phase 3 Lane 1 contract pool, which they joined earlier this year.
