Seraphim Space Replaces Accelerator with Dedicated Academy and Funding
Venture capital firm Seraphim Space is shifting its early-stage strategy, launching the Seraphim Academy to provide startups with rolling admissions, operational mentorship, and $150,000 in immediate investment.

Strategic Shift in Startup Incubation
Seraphim Space, the prominent space-focused venture capital firm, has announced the launch of the Seraphim Academy. This new initiative effectively succeeds the firm’s long-running startup accelerator, which operated between 2018 and 2025. According to Payload, the academy is designed to serve as the primary entry point for early-stage space companies seeking to scale within the global ecosystem.
Capital-Infused Mentorship
Unlike the previous accelerator model, the academy integrates direct financial support. Each participating startup receives $150,000 in investment, addressing what Managing Director Alexander Holt identified as a previous gap in their proposition. Beyond the capital injection, the program offers up to one year of support focusing on fundraising, operational scaling, and pitch refinement.
Key features of the new syllabus include:
Rolling Admissions: The fixed cohort model has been abandoned in favor of continuous intake, with a target of 15 companies per year.
Strategic Partnerships: Participants gain access to Seraphim’s partnership with Space Florida and a global network of corporate and international organizations.
* Criteria: Selection remains rigorous, focusing on teams with experience, high-quality technology, and potential for billion-dollar market capture.
Proven Trajectory
Seraphim’s track record includes over 150 investments, yielding 11 unicorns and six IPOs. The academy aims to sustain this growth by providing more compelling incentives for founders in an increasingly crowded investment landscape. By offering both mentorship and immediate liquidity, the firm intends to streamline the path from early-stage concept to growth-stage maturity.
