NEBEX SECURES $700M CAPITAL PIPELINE FOR MEXICAN SPACE INFRASTRUCTURE
Financial exchange platform Nebex joins forces with Thrusters Unlimited to bridge the capital gap for Mexico’s sovereign space ambitions, managing $700M in procurement and industrial development.

DATA TRANSMISSION: SOVEREIGN CAPITAL FLOW
New York-based financial exchange Nebex has announced a strategic partnership with Thrusters Unlimited, a Mexican space system manufacturer, to structure $700 million in funding for Mexico’s national space ecosystem. According to Payload, the capital is earmarked for strategic capabilities including Earth Observation (EO) and telecommunications.
CLEARING CROSS-BORDER FRICTION
The space sector has historically suffered from financial fragmentation—a gap Nebex aims to bridge. Unlike mature high-capex industries like energy or aviation, space procurement lacks standardized capital management. This often results in failed hardware programs due to "financial friction" rather than technical insolvency.
Nebex, founded in 2025 by former Axiom Space executives Tejpaul Bhatia and Anand Subramanian, acts as a clearinghouse for global space procurement. Under the agreement, Nebex will utilize its proprietary platform to manage capital flow, procurement requirements, and insurance, while Thrusters Unlimited provides local industrial expertise and connections to Mexican government programs.
GLOBAL EXPANSION PARAMETERS
This partnership follows a period of rapid scaling for the exchange:
June 2025: Secured a banking partnership with JP Morgan and a $30M seed round led by Google Ventures.
August 2025: Launched a €100M initiative in France to facilitate industrial return for European startups.
Bhatia notes that the platform ensures payment milestones are met and transactions are wrapped in insurance, allowing prime contractors to purchase long-lead-time components without the usual liquidity risks. By standardizing trade-financing, Nebex intends to stabilize the volatile economics of sovereign satellite constellations across Latin America and beyond.
