NASA FORGES LOGISTICS NETWORK: MULTI-VENDOR ENTERPRISE DEPLOYED
NASA centralizes its supply chain and facility management under the new Enterprise Logistics Support Services (ELSS) framework, awarding indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contracts to five industry partners.

SYSTEM UPDATE: LOGISTICS CONSOLIDATION
NASA has finalized the structure of its Enterprise Logistics Support Services (ELSS), a strategic consolidation aimed at unifying supply chain management across the agency’s vast infrastructure. According to NASA Breaking News, the agency has selected five vendors to provide a comprehensive suite of logistics, facilities, and technical support services under a new enterprise-wide framework.
SELECTED OPERATIVES
The contract awards have been distributed to a mix of established industry players and specialized service providers. The selected entities include:
- Akima Logistics Services, LLC (Herndon, Virginia)
- Alutiiq Solutions, LLC (Anchorage, Alaska)
- ASRC Federal Research and Technology Solutions, LLC (Beltsville, Maryland)
- KBR Wyle Services, LLC (Fulton, Maryland)
- PAE-SGT Partners, LLC (Arlington, Virginia)
OPERATIONAL SCOPE
ELSS is designed as an Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) vehicle. This structure allows NASA to issue task orders for specific logistical requirements as they arise, ensuring maximum flexibility for mission-critical operations. The scope encompasses property management, warehouse operations, transportation services, and technical logistics support at NASA centers and facilities nationwide.
By moving away from fragmented, center-specific contracts, NASA aims to achieve greater cost-efficiency and standardized reporting protocols. This administrative shift is critical as the agency ramps up the complexity of the Artemis missions and maintains long-term presence aboard the International Space Station. The ELSS framework ensures that the terrestrial backbone of American space exploration remains robust enough to support multi-planetary objectives.
