Perth-based Earth observation (EO) firm LatConnect 60 (LC60) has solidified its operational and commercial footprint in India. During the Bengaluru Space Expo 2026, the company announced two strategic partnerships aimed at supporting its upcoming SWIRSAT constellation, according to SpaceNews.
Infrastructure and Operations
LC60 has entered into a formal agreement with NewSpace India Limited (NSIL), the commercial division of the Indian space program. NSIL will provide telemetry, tracking, and command (TT&C) services, alongside data downlink support, for the SWIRSAT-1 and SWIRSAT-2 spacecraft. These initial units are slated for launch in Q1 and Q2 of 2027, respectively. The integration into Indian ground-station infrastructure ensures mission-critical redundancy and operational stability for the constellation’s early phase.
Market Penetration
Parallel to the technical agreement, LC60 partnered with GeoSyze EO Solutions LLP. This collaboration positions GeoSyze as a strategic consultant and channel partner within the Indian defense and geospatial intelligence sectors. The goal is the delivery of LC60’s short-wave infrared (SWIR) datasets and AI-driven analytics to Indian security and intelligence agencies.
Strategic Roadmap
LC60’s vertical intelligence architecture is scaling rapidly. The company’s current roadmap targets an 18-satellite constellation by 2029, with an ultimate objective of exceeding 100 satellites by 2035. By leveraging India’s established space infrastructure and massive defense market, LC60 is positioning SWIRSAT as a primary provider for maritime, environmental, and military intelligence across the Indo-Pacific.
