New maritime safety notices indicate that Isar Aerospace is positioned to attempt the second flight of its Spectrum launch vehicle as early as 4 September. The Norwegian Coastal Administration issued a formal warning on 1 September, establishing a week-long operations window that extends through 10 September.
According to European Spaceflight, the specific coordinates for the maritime danger areas align with those utilized during Isar’s previous launch attempt in June. The designated windows for rocket operations are scheduled daily between 16:00 and 21:35 UTC.
LOGISTICS AND INFRASTRUCTURE
The exclusion zones extend northwest from the Andøya Space facility in Norway. While the official warning from the Norwegian Coastal Administration does not explicitly name the Munich-based launch provider, the geographical parameters and a separate notice published by Andøya Space on 27 August confirm the activity is linked to Spectrum’s orbital path.
This upcoming window follows a series of delays. The initial maiden flight attempt was expected earlier this summer but was ultimately pushed back. If successful, this mission will mark a critical milestone for European sovereign launch capabilities, validating Isar's two-stage liquid-fueled architecture designed for small satellite constellations.
