LAFAYETTE, CO — RTX subsidiary Blue Canyon Technologies has officially expanded its hardware portfolio with the introduction of FleXbus, a modular mission-enabler kit. According to SpaceNews, the new subsystem package is designed to provide satellite operators with a flight-proven baseline, allowing for rapid assembly and customized integration within their own facilities.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
FleXbus is engineered as a hardware-agnostic solution, compatible with diverse spacecraft structures without rigid configuration constraints. At its core is the FleXcore guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) subsystem, integrated alongside critical avionics. The standard kit includes:
- Command & Data Handling (C&DH): Integrated avionics computer systems.
- GNC Suite: Proprietary control algorithms, sensors, and actuators.
- Power Management: Electrical power system (EPS) controller and high-density batteries.
- Interface Layer: Dedicated ports for payloads and peripheral systems.
- Flight Software: Pre-loaded mission-ready OS.
MISSION FLEXIBILITY
Operators requiring specific orbital endurance can further customize the FleXbus with optional solar array drive assemblies, propulsion modules, and radio solutions.
