# RF Architecture Integration

RF startup AnySignal has formalized a strategic partnership with satellite bus manufacturer Apex, effectively placing its AnyLink network and radio hardware directly onto Apex’s platform menu. According to Payload, the move transitions AnySignal from a frequent flight partner to a standard option for Apex customers seeking streamlined telemetry, tracking, and command (TT&C) capabilities.

The Roaming Model

The AnyLink system functions as an aggregator, unifying ground networks from providers like KSAT, Leaf Space, and RBC Signals into a singular, optimized data path. AnySignal CEO John Malsbury likens the tech to a modern cellular plan; whereas traditional space operations require manual coordination between radio vendors, ground segments, and licensing bodies, AnyLink allows a spacecraft to "roam" between ground stations autonomously. This integration aims to reduce the friction of mission design by providing a unified provider from development through to on-orbit operations.

Strategic Trajectory

AnySignal’s hardware is not exclusive to Apex, as the firm continues to supply other bus manufacturers. However, the partnership follows nine successful missions where AnySignal validated its tech on Apex platforms. The Torrance-based firm, which raised a $24M Series A in late 2023, is also expanding its footprint within the defense sector.

According to Payload, the company recently secured two U.S. Space Force awards:
Project RAIDEN: A system designed to sense jamming and autonomously shift frequencies.
Cross-link Demonstration: A project focused on real-time satellite-to-satellite data transfer.

Beyond orbital comms, AnySignal is reportedly adapting its commercial platform for tactical air defense, electronic warfare, and signals intelligence.
